อินทวัฒน์ บุรีคำ, รองศาสตราจารย์, Parnpen Chayopas สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractA sequential sampling plan was developed for treatment decisions on cashew thrips in Thailand from 1993-94. The data was drawn from cashew shoots or inflorescences grown at Nakhon Pathom and Ubon Ratchathani Provinces by using the tray beat method. The negative binomial distribution with a common k value of 0.7569 was used to devise a sequential sampling method in order to classify thrips populations as light and treatment not recommended versus outbreak with insecticide treatment required. Operating characteristic and average sample number were also calculated. |
หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Development and Growth Ratio of Predaceous Coccinellid, Sasajiscymnus quinquepunctatus (Weise) on Papaya Mealybug, Paracoccus marginatus Williams & Granara de Willink) ผู้เขียน:Samaporn Saengyot, ดร.อินทวัฒน์ บุรีคำ, รองศาสตราจารย์ สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThe predaceous coccinellid, Sasajiscymnus quinquepunctatus (Weise) (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) was identifi ed as a potential candidate for biological control of the papaya mealybug, Paracoccus marginatus Williams & Granara de Willink (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae), which is native to the Neotropical region and in 2008 was detected as an invasive alien insect species in Thailand. It was subjected to laboratory investigation on its development, life history and growth ratio for its possible use in augmentative biological control. P. marginatus was cultured on Thai pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata) as an artifi cial host and was used as prey for the coccinellid. The development from egg stage to adult was described and their respective sizes measured. The development time (mean ? SD) from egg to adult was 29.96 ? 0.80 d. The incubation period, the duration of four larval instars, and the pupal stage, all reported as (mean ? SD), were 6.37 ? 1.03, 2.62 ? 0.64, 2.58 ? 0.56, 2.70 ? 0.59, 5.06 ? 0.80, and 10.58 ? 1.19 d, respectively. Adult longevity (mean ? SD) was 32.16 ? 10.56 d. The mean geometric growth ratio of 1.65 using the head capsule width in successive larval instars as a parameter was obtained and it conformed well to Dyar’s law. It was advocated that S. quinquepunctatus could be further evaluated for utilization in augmentative biological control of the papaya mealybug in Thailand. |
อินทวัฒน์ บุรีคำ, รองศาสตราจารย์, Pitakpong Pompranee, Choosang Pangwangthong สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThirteen standard cone traps of Heliothis spp. were used to monitor H. armigera Hubner at Kamphaeng Saen, Nakhon Pathom, All traps were baited with synthetic female sex pheromone. A high relationship was found between egg counts on various food plants and the number of H. armigera male catches with R2 value 0.744 and 0.791. The number of moths captured by using pheromone traps were not related to weather data. |

หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : A Probit Analysis of the Disinfestation of Mangosteens by Cold Treatment Againts the Larval Stages of the Oriental Fruit Fly (Bactrocera dorsalis (Hendel)) ( Diptera : Tephr ผู้เขียน:ดร.อินทวัฒน์ บุรีคำ, รองศาสตราจารย์, Ouab Sarnthoy, นายโกศล เจริญสม, รองศาสตราจารย์ สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThe presence of the oriental fruit fly, Bactrocera dorsalis (Hendel) (Diptera : Tephritidae), in Thailand restricts entry of mangosteens to some foreign markets because of plant quarantine regulations. Mangosteens infested with third instar larvae of B. dorsalis were held at 5, 6 and 7oC for ?, ?, 1, 2, 4, 8, 11, 14, 16 and 20 days. Probit regression lines were fitted to the data of the relationship between exposure time and mortality of the insect. The exposure times required to kill B. dorsalis in mangosteens at 99.9968% mortality (probit 9), based on the recovery of puparia or adults, were calculated to be 19.4, 24.9 and 24.9 days for fruit treated at 5, 6 and 7oC, respectively. Attempts to find alternative procedures given the criterion of probit 9 were discussed. |
